Undergraduate Research Associate

Attadale is currently seeking third or fourth year undergraduate students to work with us part-time as research associates during the academic term. We are looking for results driven, self-motivated, and team-oriented individuals with high levels of intellectual curiosity. The Associates will help Attadale conduct research and analytics to support client engagements, contribute to authoring industry or other presentations, and create articles and thought-leadership pieces to contribute to Attadale’s intellectual property.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be a third or fourth year student in the college
  • Excellent communication skills are a must
  • There is no requirement for an economics or other business-related degree, though this is a plus – however, candidates should be able to demonstrate efficient and effective problem solving skills
  • Teamwork will be required, both between other Research Associates working on the same project and between the Research Associate and full-time Attadale employees
  • Additional skills such as strong analytic skills and language capabilities, prior business skills, mastery of programing and statistical toolsets, and similar are highly desirable

Job Profile

  • Research Associate average workload is expected to be 15+ hours during the school year and 40+ hours per week during the summer break
  • Much of the work can be performed remotely, though occasional meetings in person will be expected
  • The initial phase of work will take place during the summer and autumn of 2016 – there may be opportunities for interested candidates to extend this relationship further into the academic year, or even entry-level employment
  • Projects may include both internal Attadale research and client deliverables

Demonstrated Experience and Expertise

  • Leading project teams; Lead client engagements and/or major internal initiatives
  • Design and lead process, organization, and technology analysis and data collection efforts
  • Facilitate executive work sessions and staff interviews
  • Define and build business cases to support process improvement initiatives
  • Craft independent, fact-based recommendations
  • Success implementing change programs with demonstrated results

Requirements

  • Minimum BA/BS; MBA from a top school or advanced degree in related field to client portfolio preferred
  • Candidates based in the greater Chicago-land area are strongly preferred
  • Position requires periodic travel, potentially up to 100% for particular assignments, including short-term international projects.
  • Additional language capabilities are highly desirable
